I have a HP 1012 laser printer. I need another printer cartridge refill. The off brand laser printer cartridges I see online are about half price compared to the HP brand itself. A lot of the companies selling the off brand printer cartridges get good reviews online. Would you recommend buying a new offbrand laser printer cartridge from one of them? How reliable is it to buy a third party or compatible laser printer cartridge for my HP laser printer?
I would never buy an OEM cartridge. I like my HP Laserjet 1018, but I'd never pay 60-70 bucks for it. I just go to amazon and find my cartridge there (I type in the HP number for it). Then, I look for ';compatible'; cartridges. I've been doing this for over a year and I've always been pleased with the results. I only pay 25 bucks for them, also. Buying through amazon you always have that as protection as their policy is the buyer is always right. How reliable is it to buy a third party or compatible laser printer cartridge for my HP laser printer?
Hi David. In my opinion, refilling with third party cartridges is perfectly fine and one of the most cost effective methods of printing, particularly for those who do a lot of printing.
I have been printing quite a lot of pages lately because of my thesis and I guess my printing budget would have gone at least three-fold higher if my room-mate hadn't gone for refilling my HP printer with the one like this: http://www.printcountry.com/refill_kit_v鈥?/a>
I had absolutely no problems as far as using a 'third-party' thing is concerned. I guess, its just a technical hoax being played by companies so that users only go for their products but yes, one has to keep in mind that the manufacturing quality of these third party kits is not compromised. So, if you do decide to go for a third party refill, make sure the player is in game for quite a while and is playing fair and square, know what I mean?

I just got done with my homework and my printer is out of ink. How do I know which ink cartridge number to buy? I looked all over my printer and didn't find any information on it.How do I know which Ink cartridge to buy for 5400 HP Deskjet printer?
Just wanted to pass some additional thoughts along to you. Rather than simply buying new, genuine HP cartridges you could consider ';remanufactured'; cartridges. These are cartridges that have been used -- that are then cleaned and refilled with new ink. I've had an HP for about 3 years now, and I always use remanufactured cartridges. They cost at least 1/3 less than genuine HPs. Here is one online retailer that sells these:

How do I get the exact color displayed on PC screen to print from HP D7650 printer exact?
I am trying to restore old photos and when I achieve the results I want, my printer is shades off from what is diplayed on the screen. I have a new computer with Windows Vista software. My ink supplies are adequate, the photo paper is of high standard and and I select ';Best'; print to achieve a high quality photo. The result is a great photo but the color is no where near what I worked to get.How do I get the exact color displayed on PC screen to print from HP D7650 printer exact?
The monitor works on an RGB Spectrum and the printer works on a CMYK spectrum. Sadly the colors almost never match exactly, If you can, in your print properties set up different color profiles by printing a small colour block and adjusting the saturation's to match what is on the screen. Do this for every shade that is in the cartridge. (the color profiles can be found in your advanced print properties.)
If you are printing black and white photos it may serve you well to get a photo grey cartridge. (no. 59) Normal greyscale printing uses colours, not shades of grey which results in an often reddish or green toned photo.

The faster printers get, the more noise they are likely to produce. Combined with the fact that these are very compact printers printing at a very fast speed, the case being plastic and there is basically no sound deadening material inside, these printers will produce more sound compared to a slower machine. I think these are expected to be used in high volume offices that have printer/copy rooms, or where noise is not much of an issue and they are isolated away from offices and users. There is really no easy and aesthetic way to quiet these in a small office environment that you've described without enclosing them in an acoustic enclosure (which reduces accessibility and potential cooling problems) or in a separate room.

How do i fix the installation of HP printer 2600n on my laptop?
i have a laserjet 2600n and have recently purchased a new laptop. i tried to connect my laptop up to the printer but it failed so i thought to uninstall it but the message '; setup encountered an abnormal program execution. setup will shut down';. after you reboot then try again
install software before switching on printer
