Can I plug a 40 watt maximum HP Printer into a 300 watt transformer over here in Germany?

the printer manual says:

input voltage -- AC 100 to 240 V ~ 1 A 50-60 Hz, grounded

output voltage: DC 32 V===940 mA, 16 V===625 mA

i have no clue what any of this means. i just don't want to blow anything up. help!Can I plug a 40 watt maximum HP Printer into a 300 watt transformer over here in Germany?
Voltag in Germany is 240V I think? If so, then yes. Your printer can be plugged in just about anywhere. Use an adaptor, not a transformer.

Wattage is a measure of power. It's like saying, if you have HUGE musclse, can you lift a little weight. Yes, you can.Can I plug a 40 watt maximum HP Printer into a 300 watt transformer over here in Germany?
You will need a European plug adapter. See source below for a picture.

I would suggest you buy a decent power strip and this way you only need one plug converter for the power strip and then plug all of your US devices into the power strip.

What you have to remember though is that these are only plug adapters and that they do not do any voltage conversion.

So if you need to adjust the voltage, and I don't think so with your printer, you will need need a transformer.

Good luck!
Printers do not have Output Voltage. I checked the HP webpage and the Idiots do no list the voltage requirements. Go to a store that sells HP and ask them, it's the safest thing.
