How can connect my printer (HP OfficeJet 6310) the the network?

I have the printer, PC, Broadband modem plugged into a ethernet router switch and cannot connect the desktop PC to it. I have tried manually configuring the IP (no effect) and can communicate with it via using ping in the command menu.

The problem is obviously the router switch as when I plug in the printer to the broadband modem it connects fine.

DCHP is also enabled. I may have manually configured the IP wrong when trying to connect?

Any ideas? How can connect my printer (HP OfficeJet 6310) the the network?
Go through the options on the printer and have it print out a status sheet. Get the ip information from that. Go to printers on your pc. Click add new printer. Click next. Then click create port bullet. Then click standard tcp/ip port. Then click next. Then next again. Then type in the ip address in the first box. Follow the steps. of course is wrong, put your ip on dhcp and then wait to connect to the router.after that go to see which ip you have an try to ping your gateway.

if is not responding, the problems became big,and you have 2 solution:

1-you have problems with routing and the router is not set up correctly,so you must reset the router and reconfigure all setting

2-you have problem with your network card(maibe the driver, perhaps is out of work or other causes)

first, before reset your router try to use another pc or insert in your pc another network card.if is not work with a new one, problem is from router.

good luck
