I recently bought a Mac and the compatible HP printer as well. My sister had trouble with it, so she unplugged it, and now it's unable to connect. Does anyone know how to reconnect it? It also said it's offline. Help?How can I re-connect my HP printer to my Mac?
I think you are using a USB connector. If so, the USB value has not changed in the Mac, but it has changed in the printer.
Turn off the printer and unplug it from the AC power.
Unplug the printer USB from the Mac. Restart
Plug in the printer, and turn it on.
Plug the printer USB into the Mac using a different port if possible.
:-D USB is picky sometimes. Since a device can have many USB port values the system remembers them like in an address book. You have to make it forget the old value and provide a new value. Don't unplug it again without shutting down the Mac.How can I re-connect my HP printer to my Mac?
