How do I get my HP Printer to turn on when I press print?

I have had Lexmark printers in the past and when I normally press print and the printer was off it used to turn on and then print. My Hp 6110 series doesnt seem to do it. Is there any way to do that or is it something that Hp dont offer? How do I get my HP Printer to turn on when I press print?
HP don't offer that serviceHow do I get my HP Printer to turn on when I press print?
hp printers have power buttons which have to be pressed for the printer to be open this enables the computer to detect it and send the print jobs.
I don't know if your lexmark was one of these ';Multifunction'; printers. but these bigger type printers usually have an on and off button mostly because of the scanner and copier. These types of things you usually don't leave on all the time. Now my older HP multifunction printer has some standby mode where it goes to low power. This allows you to leave the Printer on, if you really want to.
