Actually depends on which Operating System is on the Dell and whether HP has written drivers to support the OS. If it's an older HP Printer and you are using Windows Vista, HP may not have written that Driver.





Second point, if it's a older printer - that connects via Parallel; your new Dell may only have USB2. There are protocol converters that will allow you to connect a Parallel Port to the USB2 connector. Will a hp printer work with a dell computer?
Sure it will work. just make sure you have the drivers for it on your computer. They should have come on a CD with the printer. if you have any other questions, visit the link in the sources section of my post. They are great at helping with things like this!

You will have no problems getting a HP, EPSON, LOGITECH, etc, etc, printer to work with your Dell or any other PC.
